Two Down, Five to Go

Gloomy start to Friday, the 13th but the sun did outrun the clouds as day went by.  No more excuse to stay lazy after the sun crept back and the day has to commence.

Ever since I moved back to my place in Richmond on June 27, I have been continuously junking out, cleaning up, unpacking and the worst yet to come, shopping for more junks.  The logic behind junking out is to make room for more junks?

I was reading a pamphlet from Burnaby Hospice Society I received in the mail today and maybe that explains the above.  It read like that:

There are numerous "normal" reactions to loss that show up in ways you might not expect.  If you've.....
  • Gone to the store every day
Then... you're absolutely normal.

So, don't worry.. my friends.  I am absolutely NORMAL.

I have been so productive and am actually proud of myself today.  I finally kinda finished tidying up the garage.  Then,  I cleaned the floor of the deck and getting it prep for a make over.

And I even started cleaning the fences in my front yard late in the evening.   The good thing about doing this is it does not bring back sad memories as it has always been a pink job and never been on Terry's things to do list.  Now two down and five more to go.

Or is that actually a Black Friday to me?   Should have just kick back and relax on a TGIF instead!!

as request by my FSIL (favourite sister in-law) i'm adding a test comment. The fence looks GREAT - the only trouble is - next year it will look like the 'before' photo once again. The good news is - once you can change your thoughts, it becomes less a chore and more a mind holiday. You can find happiness in cleaning, junking, recycling and of course the Skagit Valley Casino Buffet!! www.theSkagit.com
This now concludes my test comment.
